Images are typically the largest resources on any web page by file size. This is called render-blocking, and it directly delays when the first visible content appears on screen. Deferring non-critical JavaScript so it loads after the main content has rendered, and inlining critical CSS so the initial visible content does not wait for an external stylesheet to download, are among the most impactful speed improvements available on WordPress sites — especially those built with Elementor or similar page builders.

Poor Caching and Server Response Time

Time to First Byte — how long the server takes to start sending data in response to a browser request — is the foundational layer of page load time. Everything else waits for it. A TTFB above 600 milliseconds limits what any front-end optimization can achieve, because the browser is waiting for the server before it can begin processing anything. We address this through server-level caching (LiteSpeed Cache for Hostinger environments, WP Rocket for others), CDN configuration to serve assets from servers geographically close to the visitor, and PHP version updates where appropriate.
